This is a standing joke at the Writer’s meeting. When we introduce ourselves at the beginning, most of us struggle when we say we are writers or authors. Most of us say, we are working on it or practicing. And then someone says “YOU are a WRITER!”
I have a million stories in my head. Focusing on one is very difficult. Finding time and motivation is even harder. I’m in a Writers club and a Writers workshop/circle. This helps but honestly life is moving too fast. It’s not the usual job and family stuff. It’s much bigger. It really comes down to what is a story for me. I read a lot of books and see a lot of movies and each one is a story. Every time I catch up with a friend or family member, they have a story to tell. On blogs, facebook and twitter, I catch snippets of people’s lives in their stories. A lot more people are feeling comfortable WRITING their story. Good! Because I love stories.
