The saying is if you are a hammer, everything looks like a nail. I’m a techy person, computers, programs, gadgets so I tend to solve problems with these tools.
People around me, non-techy folk, scratch their heads and wonder if there is an easier way to do something. The problem is usually boiled down to a communication problem of one kind or another. For example: ten different ways a school can ask for money with the same fund-raiser but I have to listen to the radio about snow day closures. Another example: a friend wants to know how to use twitter but has never been to the Twitter website.
These seem like problems easily solved with technology. But that’s me. I’m just a hammer.
